The town of Livingston, Louisiana was originally formed as a support town for a logging company in 1916. After merging with the community of Doyle in 1955, the charming town of Livingston as it is now known was formed. As the parish seat in Livingston Parish, the city of Livingston is home to almost 2,000 residents in 3.22 square miles. With Interstate 12 to the south and Highway 190 to the north, traveling to Denham Springs or Baton Rouge is very convenient. The town is home to many small mom and pop shops, includes a park and recreation department with youth sports leagues and the country feel that welcomes you in. BBQ is a way of life in Livingston and you can sample the best at three of the town’s joints. Livingston also includes a classic drive in dinner.
